A Simba Umeme feature wall is built plank by plank on site. We set out the pattern, cut each piece to fit the room rather than the drawing, and hide the lighting inside the timber so the grain carries the glow.

Frequently Asked
Do you make furniture to our own design?
Yes. Bring a drawing, a photograph or a rough sketch and we will produce a shop drawing and a price before any timber is cut. Almost everything we build is one-off work made to a client’s own specification.
Do you install, or only supply?
We install. Feature walls, cladding, doors and fitted joinery are set out and fixed on site by the same team that fabricated them, which is why the fit is right.
Which areas do you cover?
We are based in Dar es Salaam and work across the city and surrounding regions. For projects elsewhere in Tanzania, transport and accommodation are quoted separately.
How long does a project take?
It depends entirely on scope. A set of doors is a matter of days; a full hall fit-out runs over several weeks. We give a programme with the quote and keep you updated with photographs as work progresses.
