Dar es Salaam weather is unforgiving on timber. Sun opens up joints, rain swells them shut again, and coastal air attacks any fixing that is not properly specified.
So our external work is built differently from our interior work: treated and seasoned timber, corrosion-resistant fixings, exterior-grade finishes, and joints detailed to shed water rather than hold it.

Frequently Asked
How long will outdoor timber last in Dar es Salaam?
With the right species, proper treatment and a sealed exterior finish, external timber lasts many years here, but it is not maintenance-free. We tell you at quote stage what re-oiling or re-sealing interval the piece will need.
Do you treat the timber, or do we?
We do. Treatment and exterior-grade finishing are part of the fabrication, not an extra you have to arrange afterwards.
Can you repair or refinish existing outdoor timber?
Yes. We sand back, repair damaged sections and re-oil or re-seal weathered pergolas, decking, gates and furniture rather than replacing them where the structure is still sound.
Do you handle foundations and groundwork?
For posts, footings and fixing into slabs or walls, yes. Larger civil or concrete works we would coordinate with your contractor.
